The Different Parts of Medicare

Medicare Part A

Medicare Part A is hospital insurance that helps cover inpatient care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health care.

Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B is medical insurance that covers outpatient care, doctor visits, preventive services, and some medical supplies.

Medicare Part D

Medicare Part D is prescription drug coverage that helps pay for medications prescribed by doctors.

Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Part C, are an alternative to Original Medicare, offering all-in-one coverage that includes Parts A, B, and often D, along with additional benefits like vision, dental, and wellness programs.

Medicare Supplement Insurance plans

Medicare Supplement Insurance plans, also known as Medigap, help cover out-of-pocket costs like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles that Original Medicare (Parts A and B) doesn't cover.

Supplemental Insurance

Home Care Plus

Home Care Plus Insurance helps cover the costs of in-home care services, such as assistance with daily activities, skilled nursing, and therapy, allowing individuals to recover or age comfortably at home.

Hospital Indemnity

Hospital indemnity insurance provides a fixed daily benefit to help cover the costs associated with hospital stays, such as out-of-pocket expenses, lost income, and additional medical costs.

Recovery Care

This provides coverage for short-term stays in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility after an illness, surgery, or injury. It helps cover costs for skilled nursing, therapy, and personal care services during recovery.

Critical Illness/Cancer

Critical illness or cancer insurance offers a lump-sum benefit upon diagnosis of a covered serious illness or cancer, helping to cover medical expenses and other financial burdens.

Final Expense

Final Expense Insurance is designed to cover end-of-life costs, such as funeral expenses, medical bills, and outstanding debts. It typically offers a smaller death benefit, making it an affordable option to ease the financial burden on loved ones.

Dental & Vision

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance helps cover the costs of routine dental care, such as cleanings and exams, as well as more extensive procedures like fillings, crowns, and orthodontics.

Vision Insurance

Vision insurance provides coverage for eye exams, glasses, contact lenses, and sometimes other eye care services, helping to manage costs related to maintaining good eye health.

At Sappington Insurance we are dedicated to teaching you how the various parts of Medicare work and how the program was built in order to help you make an informed choice when choosing a plan.
